Loid commenced her legal journey at Mekdes and Associates Law Office, where she honed her legal acumen by reviewing and drafting a diverse array of legal documents. Working on issues concerning corporate commercial laws, investment, and Public-Private Partnerships she was able to conduct comprehensive legal research, and closely work with different members of the team that have allowed her to develop her understanding of the legal complexities in those fields.

In the pursuit of advancing the accessibility of justice, Loid dedicated her skills as a paralegal at the Center for Human Rights, providing invaluable pro bono legal services to vulnerable groups. This experience not only showcased her commitment to social responsibility but also underscored her capacity to navigate complex legal landscapes with empathy and precision. Additionally, as a testament to her dedication to societal progress, Loid served as a rapporteur at a conference discussing the future of Ethiopia’s social contract. Her meticulous documentation of proceedings earned her the opportunity to leave her mark in the subsequent publication, highlighting her ability to contribute meaningfully to critical discussions on a national scale.

The depth of Loid’s expertise extends to international platforms, as demonstrated by her participation in the 30th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Competition in Vienna, Austria. Representing one of the few African teams present, Loid showcased her prowess in international legal arenas, leaving an indelible mark and contributing to the global dialogue on commercial arbitration. Beyond legal arenas, Loid has demonstrated a commitment to fostering peace and intercultural dialogue as a Youth Ambassador through her participation in UNESCO-hosted leadership and research training in Istanbul, Turkey, reflecting her understanding of the intersection between law, diplomacy, and global cooperation.
